Bars in Walthamstow

November 6, 2015

Looking for your next local? The ‘stow has something to meet the needs of every customer. Traditionally the land of jellied eels and pints of London pride, Walthamstow, still can offer much in the way of a traditional east-end boozer. In times of gentrification however, Walthamtow has plenty of quirky little wine bars and smooth cocktail lounges. Here’s three of the best:

All You Read is Love

This is an awesome concept, a Scandinavian style cafe, selling only the coolest in craft-beers and liquor. Not only do these serve nordic sandwiches, with plenty of fresh fish, they also put on some cutting-edge DJ nights as well as creative writing nights.

Unit 3, Central Parade, Hoe Street, E17,

Mother’s Ruin E17

If gin and vodka are your tipples of choice this ambient bar is for you. With gin made locally, that has received its fair share of plaudits.

Maynard Road and Wood Street Market, E17,

56 St James

A new opening, specialsing in the ever popular Nude Espresso, 56 St James serves the movers and shakers of the village with style. One wall is a giant chalkboard, which is pretty cool. Expect great sourdough bread.

56 St James’s Street, E17
