These experiences have also made us realise that finding the perfect wedding venue in London can be a bit tricky. But rest assured, because we’ve done our research, combed through our own extensive knowledge of the area, and whipped up a list of wedding venues sure to dazzle and appeal to every taste and budget.
So, whether you’re planning your big day, or you’re just someone who likes to cast their eye over beautiful wedding venues, check out our list:
Kicking off this who’s who of wedding venues is the Meridian Grand. With two ballrooms accommodating a staggering 1000 guests, this is a venue for the cool kids. A gourmet Asian food service is on offer, while there is also the option of bringing in outside caterers.

The Meridian Grand is licenced for civil ceremonies and is known for its adaptability. The kinds of weddings which take place at this venue are as eclectic as London itself. Hindu weddings, Sikh weddings, Bengali weddings. There isn’t much the Meridian team hasn’t done.
Unique and special are the two words which spring to mind when thinking about Walthamstow’s Pavilion Banqueting Suite. With room for as many as 700 cheerful wedding guests, this venue offers a lavish setting for that oh-so-special day.
Among those features which differentiate the Pavilion Banqueting Suite from other venues are its impressively elegant collection of chandeliers. A state-of-the-art LED lighting system, and a wraparound balcony designed to ensure that guests don’t miss a single bit of the action.
Having been upright for more than 120 years. Leyton Great Hall has a rustic charm. With guests sure to be impressed as they make their way into this Grade II listed building, complete with karaoke-friendly stage (yep, we said karaoke).
This is a wedding venue which is full of character and can easily be transformed to suit all tastes. You can visit the website to find out more!
“Could everyone please gather by the fountain until the bride and groom arrive?”
People know they are at a wedding when they hear a line like this, and the huge fountain sat in front of Walthamstow Assembly Hall is definitely a talking point.
Walthamstow Assembly Hall is beautiful inside and out
Once all of the “wow what a fountain” lines are out of the way and the colourful gardens have been admired. Guests will find themselves in a cosy, characterful hall, which can accommodate up to 60 wedding guests. A stage sits at the front of the room, meaning that speeches will certainly be heard, and hecklers will certainly not be.
Search for this venue on the Web and you will encounter a number of glowing reviews, among the most enthusiastic of which is from an ecstatic mother of the bride – “A very special and intimate wedding venue, a true gem in Woodford Green”.
Looking at pictures of this venue, it is easy to understand such enthusiastic reviews.
Packfords Hotel boasts a glorious Victorian conservatory dining area
Suited to slightly smaller weddings, Packfords was one of the first venues in the area to be licenced for marriage ceremonies, which take place in the intriguingly named Hardy Room.
The hotel has nine stylish rooms and can work with the happy couple to arrange a photographer and entertainment, be it a string quartet, or a DJ sure to play dancefloor-filling classics.
Let’s sum it up
Walthamstow and its surrounding areas are blessed with more wedding venues than you can shake a stick at, but we are really happy with the gems we have listed above.
All that’s left to do is don the colourful hats, tailored suits and sunglasses. Must be sure to rig the wedding car with the noisiest contraption you can lay your hands on. We can almost smell the handmade confetti!
